Apostolos Scarlatos is Vice President of SustChem Engineering S.A. and Director of the Greek Electronic Cigarette Trade Association (G.E.C.T.A.). He is Chemical Engineer by study specialized in Product Stewardship and Regulatory Affairs.
Apostolos has been working as a Regulatory Consultant for SustChem Engineering from 2013 to date. He is also cooperating with the Hellenic Association of Chemical Industries (H.A.C.I), the Hellenic Coatings Association (HCA).
He has experience in regulatory affairs such as:
Safety Data Sheet Authoring | Application of the CLP & REACH regulation | Implementation of TPD | Authorization of various chemical products (lubricants, fertilizers, detergents etc.) | Handling of over 1000 e-liquids notifications dossiers to the EU-CEG (TPD notification) for Greece and abroad | Life Cycle Analysis | European and National chemical legislation.
He has participated as a speaker to various seminars and workshops in Greece and other European countries:
- 2014 – today (HACI): 10 seminars on adaptation and implementation of the CLP Regulation – Athens & Thessaloniki, Greece
- 2014 (BCCI): CLP 1272/2008/EC- obligations for manufacturers/ importers/ downstream users – Sofia, Bulgaria
- 2015 (Marcus Evans): 8th Implementation of Global Chemical Safety Regulations for Russian and CIS Companies – Amsterdam, Netherlands
- 2017 HACI conference on chemical legislation & poisoning centers
