The 1st Scientific Summit on Tobacco Harm Reduction: Novel products, Research & Policy will be held in Athens, Greece on the 8th and 9th June 2018, in Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center, at the Lighthouse.

OFFICIAL LANGUAGE
The conference official language is English.
ORAL AND POSTER PRESENTATIONS
The programme of the Conference will include plenary and keynote lectures, as well as oral and poster presentations. Selected posters will be presented in short oral sessions in full audience (Rapid Fire sessions). Poster or oral presentations will be accepted if at least one of the authors is registered and present at the conference.
ABSTRACT SUBMISSION
Abstract submission is closed. Authors will be notified on acceptance and on the form of presentation of their contribution by 15 May, 2018. In case you do not receive a confirmation e-mail, please contact the Organizing Secretariat at info@nosmokesummit.org

Greek is the official language of Greece. English is widely spoken.

Greek time is Eastern European Time Zone (GMT +02.00).
Climate & Weather
The average temperature in June in Athens is 24.5°C (76°F), while the average low is 20°C (68°C), and the average high is 29.8°C (85.6°F). There is also no chance of rain. The average sea temperature in June is 22°C (72°F); water at this temperature is considered relatively warm for most people and is great for swimming.

Currency and Banking hours
The currency of Greece is the Euro.
Banks are open from Monday to Friday between 8.00 to 14.00 hours. Some Branches at the center of the city are also open in the afternoon Monday to Friday.
ATMs and Credit Cards
Automated Teller Machines (ATM) are located outside most banks. Cash can be withdrawn there, all days 24 hours (24/7). National and foreign Maestro Cards (Cash Cards) as well as Mastercard, American Express, VISA and Diners are accepted. Major credit cards are accepted almost everywhere.
Electricity supply
Voltage in Greece is 220V at a frequency of 50 Hz. Plugs are continental style, two-pin. A plug adaptor should be taken along for incompatible electric / electronic appliances that will be used.
Smoking
Smoking is prohibited in all indoor public places and on all public transport. However, in general pubs and restaurants have a designated outdoor smoking area.
Emergency Numbers
Whilst in Greece, European Union citizens may seek any help they might need (police, ambulance, fire brigade, coast guard) by dialing the number 112 from anywhere in Greece. The number is answered by English-speaking staff, and may be dialed from public telephones or mobile telephones.
