Michael has studied Nursing (BSc) and Philosophy (BA) at the University of Athens. He holds an MA in Health Care Ethics & Law from the University of Manchester, School of Law, and a PhD in Bioethics from the same institution. He has worked at the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, and as a researcher he has collaborated with the National School of Public Health, the Department of Nursing at the University of Athens, and the Department of Nursing at the Cyprus Technological University. He has taught at graduate and postgraduate level in the Department of Nursing at the Technological Educational Institute of Central Greece as a part-time lecturer, in the Department of Nursing at the Technological Educational Institute of Western Greece as a research scholar, and in the Departments of Nursing at University of Athens and Technological Educational Institute of Athens, as an external collaborator. He has published several articles related to health care with an emphasis on ethical issues, and he has presented much of his work in international conferences. He has also edited and translated nursing textbooks in Greek. In 2017 he was elected Assistant Professor of Nursing Ethics and Deontology in the Department of Nursing at the TEI of Western Greece.
